If you haven’t been praying about the impeachment process, it is time. As the Senate moves to the next phase to entertain questions from Senators, and considers the calling of witnesses, your intercession can affect the process and the outcome. Ultimately any believer simply wants justice—we are praying for it, as well as for righteousness and truth. Proverbs 21:15 tells us: It is a joy for the just to do justice,
But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
As you are tempted to tune out the media’s ongoing coverage of the impeachment proceedings, please take that as a cue to pray. Pray for those who are representing both sides—that only truth would be told. Pray for the Senators who are facing decisions as they interact in the questioning phase, as they vote on calling witnesses, and ultimately as they vote on the impeachment articles. Pray also for the President who has had to endure the distraction of impeachment as he has worked to develop policies and actions to benefit our nation and citizens.
Let us know below how you are praying, and if a particular scripture comes to mind as you lift up this situation.
